Welcome Flag

Welcome Flag Printed for Customer

Banners.com printed a custom welcome flag for a customer. Here's what Kelly had to say about her order:
Even though we're now in Texas, my family loves the old Colonial American tradition of a pineapple as a symbol of welcome and hospitality. Thank you again!

Mighty Oaks Warrior Program Flags

Fabric Flags Printed for the Mighty Oaks Warrior Program

Banners.com printed a fabric flag for the Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs. Here's what Eric had to say about the order:
Christianna - thank you for your great customer service on these orders. Attached is a picture of three of our alumni on a trip to Israel. These three are former Marines who came through our programs and God restored their lives, marriages and families after battling with the effects of combat trauma. Thank you again for all of your kind help.

Fabric Flag Finishing Options

Fabric Flag Finishing Option: Left Header with Grommets
Left Header with Grommets

What are the Finishing Options for Fabric Flags?

One question we get quite a bit is what are the flag finishing options. There are several finishing options available including a left header with grommets, hems and grommets and pole pockets.

Left Header with Grommets
The standard finishing option is the left header with grommets. We add a piece of canvas to the left side of the flag that is about one inch wide. The canvas is sewn onto the flag for added strength and grommets are placed at the top and bottom of the left header. The rest of the flag is sewn around the edges.

Sewn Hems and Grommets
The flag hems are sewn, not heat welded like vinyl banners. The hem line is very close to the edge of the flag around the perimeter. Grommets are placed in the corners and every 2-4 feet around the flag if needed. This option is commonly used for fabric banners. The main difference is the fabrics. Click for more information about flag fabric materials or banner fabric materials.

Pole Pockets
We can also sew pole pockets on the flag. When you have pole pockets, we recommend having your art work at least 4 inches away from the edge of the flag to prevent having seams run through your graphics.

Fabric Flag Materials

Types of Fabric Flag Materials: Mirror Fabric and Flag Fabric

By Jana Schaumburg, Marketing Coordinator

There are two different fabric materials that we print fabric flags on. Both of the fabrics are printed using a direct dye sublimation printing process. This means that the ink goes through the fabric instead of sitting on top of the fabric.

Fabric Flag Materials: Flag Fabric and Mirror Fabric
Flag Fabric Material
The most common fabric flag material is our Flag fabric. The Flag fabric is rated for 3-6 months when used continuously outdoors. Flag fabric has a sheer print. The material is slightly thicker and more coarse than the Mirror fabric. You can see the back side in reverse, but the back side is a little more muted than the Mirror.

Mirror Fabric Material
Mirror fabric is also rated for 3-6 months when used continuously outdoors. The back side is also in reverse, but the back is more vibrant than the Flag fabric. The front side also has slightly richer colors than the Fabric flag material.  Mirror fabric can be used for flags, but it is most commonly used for flying banner displays.
